The fixing upping process

The living room before the ocean threw up on the walls:)

A few of my eccentric color choices. It's missing one.
Scary blue vanity!!! YUCK
Ahhh, the kitchen that needs so much TLC!
So, we bought a house about a month ago. I never realized how the term 'fixer upper' can mean many things. It can mean that you might need to put new cabinets in the kitchen or it can mean money pit. Not quite sure about ours yet, but I am sure that whenever you think you are going to be able to move into a 'fixer upper' take that date and add three months (or ten, we're not in yet.) However, as awful as it is to watch your credit card balance go up and up and up and your savings go down and down and down it is so wonderful to put your mark on your house. For me it is like walking into a painting. I've picked some pretty bold colors and I loooove them! The house was built in the fifties and has a cottage feeling to it. I'm trying to turn into my beach bungalow.
