Color my winter

I think I've figured it out; my love for color that is. When I was home for Christmas it was dreadfully snowy and gray. I grew up in a place where it was dark six months out of the year. You needed color to brighten up the days without sun. You had to find a way to make the inside bright because it felt like at certain points you hadn't seen the sun in months. Needless to say, when I was home in the midwest I longed for my sewing room and when, in the city, I trudged through the snow and slush to get to the fabric store I breathed a sigh of relief after stepping inside. Give me color! I need it like I need sunlight and air.
