Midwest Mama

God Bless the Dunes. Only in these bacteria infested waters could one find such peace and tranquility. Come so close to nature. Come so close to the deer about to be hit by cars passing by.

Ma Belle Indiana. People may think I'm crazy, but it is so beautiful. I thought it was quite dreadful growing up and now I think cornfields, barns and leaves changing their color are incredibly soothing and wonderful.

FYI: fifteen year old girls do not like to have their pictures taken! Poor Cortney I harassed her with the camera this week. The trick is to take it when she isn't looking.

Joe Jackson's produce stand is so splendid this time of year. This too is in New Buffalo, MI. It's a quaint little town by the lake and I love going there.

There is this little lighthouse in New Buffalo, Michigan that sits on the Lake. There is also a little park thus combining Bryn's two favorite things on the planet: beaches and parks. I never thought we'd get her to leave.

Bryn got the creepiest doll for her Birthday. We somehow forgot to take it home with us (wink wink nudge nudge), but it still somehow manages to find us. Poor Bryn stuck her finger in the creepy doll pie-hole and could not get it out, eeeew!

I can totally relate to loving the midwest. The minute I get off the plane in Nebraska, I feel like myself again. It's so simple and beautiful. I love the colors, the scenery. It's home like nowhere else ever will be. :)
